On a very special evening in January, January 22nd at 7:05 pm to be precise, our first time Mama Mailey (Bernese Mountain Dog) did a beautiful job of bringing six lovely Bernedoodle puppies into the world. It was a long tiring process for all involved, but on January 23rd at 1:30 pm Mailey gave birth to the last of the puppies. She handled it like a pro, and we did not have to worry about her at any time. She is the most careful and attentive of any mom’s we’ve had over the years, and we are very proud of her and these puppies; 1 tri-color female, 2 tricolor males, and 3 female phantoms with white.
Watch the first moments in the life of a dog, see a first-time mama dog give birth, and watch as she pushes through the pain to bring new life into the world. It’s amazing to see the incredible way nature takes over as she cares for her new-born puppy in spite of the pain it just put her through. New life is beautiful and this will make you cry.
Dog agility is a fairly new sport for our family, but our daughter Tory has greatly enjoyed her classes given through Chuckanut Dog Training Association of Whatcom County. Check them out at: https://www.chuckanutdogtraining.org/.
Agility For Fun is a real treat for you and your dog and something you both will enjoy while being active and social. Dog agility can take just a few hours a week, or you can take it further and end up at the Crufts Nationals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CiIXGetCIw.
Tory and Gracie have come a long way since they started last year…. you’d be surprised at how much there is to learn and how just small changes and additions can make a big improvement in your dog’s understanding and timing. Here are a couple of classes these two have taken recently:

We were so excited to get to take a look at Mika and Andy’s upcoming litter of Bernedoodles via the expectant dog ultrasound provided by Kristie at Alder Grove Dairy in Bellingham, WA. It cost $20 to get Mika’s ultrasound, but if you have more than one animal, the cost per animal goes down. If you’d like to use her services, check her out at: https://www.facebook.com/aldergrovedairygoats/.
And this is what we’re expecting to see in a few weeks. Can’t wait to meet these beautiful babies! If you’d like to meet them and make one the newest member of your family, make sure to fill out our puppy application and get on the list today!
